The Hope Run in Pilsen Cancelled
As usual every year, I could not wait to host the Run of Hope, which is a direct continuation of the Terry Fox Run. The Run of Hope is/was a new sports-social humanitarian event inspired by a successful event organized to support cancer research in the Czech Republic in 1993 probíhal 2007 and which the Run of Hope freely follows. Drahy Server was to co-organize the event for the third year with the University of West Bohemia (Department of Physical Education and Sport of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering together with other partners), but failed. The Levity company, through which the Run of Hope must prepare, has so poisoned the Department of Physical Education and Sport that this year it refused to host this excellent idea and event locally. The job of the main organizer of the company Levity is to throw sticks under the feet of people who in their free time, without earning money, want to help others in the fight against cancer. But the companies that matter probably don’t see it the same way. Just for fun st our stand last year, where you could get a unique mount and meet the GM team by participating and supporting the event with any amount of money, collected the highest amount, sold the most T-shirts and handed out the most items. Even these arguments and the effort to organize the Run of Hope purely by our server failed this year and the project in Pilsen ends at least for this year.
Why am I writing this? We are reminded of all those who suffer from cancer or succumb to it. Unfortunately, one such person is Jan Růžička, known in our country as “Golem”, who succumbed to the cancer of the day. 12.5.2010. One of the first members of our GM team, who never wanted anything for help, a person who didn’t need to give rights and a GM sign to help others, succumbed to this terrifying disease. Golem was a huge benefit of the server not only in its darker times and constant falls but also outside it. He gave aid to others without distinction of faction or gender. With this event, we wanted to remind and support all those who struggled with the disease or lost the battle with cancer. Let this article at least be a reminder that people with a real intention to help still exist and want to help.
Today, 16.5.2012 is the official Czech Cancer Day and you can meet people in yellow T-shirts who sell (artificial) flowers to support the fight against this insidious disease. I did not manage to get to the event this year as an auxiliary force, preferring women because of tradition. If you are not in time today and still want to help in the fight not only against cancer, then you can participate in the Run for Life, organized by the Tesco chain, which does not follow the famous Terry Fox Run, but you will definitely help. I will also take part in the run on 26.5.2012 in Pilsen, although I do not think that I will run the whole route (3600m) (we do not have to of course). The starting price for most of them is 200 CZK. 1) Fixed Glyph of Totem of Wrath
2) Fixed remaining spells that had a bad count on attack strength, for example removed temporary solution at Deep Wounds, fixed Dampen Magic, Wandering Plague or Bestial Wrath - needs tests
3) Fixed/improved some controls after immunity for ongoing spells that are supposed to be immune against certain mechanics during their action
4) Fixed spells that required direct visibility of the caster for the entire duration of the effect, now these effects act even in indirect visibility on the target, if the effect is triggered in direct visibility, so during the duration of the effect may no longer (Death and Decay etc.)
5) Fixed the last known crashes and freezes of the server
