In recent days, we are focusing on the development of a new website for our server, which we have been putting off for over a year, yet it is a very important part of the server and in the current state the website can even be dangerous. The main website is an important center for receiving information about the status of our server, fixes, instructions, it is a source of communication between administrators and players of this server and both parties must feel safe, clear and have the best possible background for it. We decided to finally do something about it and provide players with a clear and safe website where they can easily find the most important information about what is happening on our server and at the same time we will be able to provide the highest level of security. For all subsystems, players will now use only the game account (except for the chat, which runs independently of the site and server in the event of their failure), which may also be able to connect to social networks. For us, the administration of the site will be much easier, as it will run on the community-developed Joomla CMS. We will no longer spend the whole day on the novelty, but only a few minutes/hours according to the difficulty. We will be able to easily edit their content with a few clicks or allow any external enthusiasts who would like to contribute their work. We plan to make the site modern, with the possibility of changing colors, font size or, for example, HTML5 elements and using modern CSS3 styles. However, everything is still in development. However, the first phase is almost over. At this stage, we configured, deployed and put into operation the main content management systems, basic styles and other integrated elements. In the second phase, in which we are now, we will be moving content from the old site to the new one. Here you can get involved and help in this area, for example by sending a connection guide you created, a connection guide to the TeamSpeak server or just an article with information that you think is missing in our current version of the site. Individuals who want to engage in this phase should have extraordinary skills in spelling, expression, and structure, especially when it comes to instructions. So if you want to help in this area, write to e-mail podpora@drahy.com with an appropriate object.
The third and final stage will be the graphic design of the website and the logo. I will take the words from one website that deals with logo creation. Although it does not seem at first glance, the logo is an extremely heavy graphic genre. It should be universally applicable, but at the same time unique. It should be general, but at the same time express the specific content of what is the logo, that is, our server. It should be modern, but at the same time timeless. He should have an idea. The logo should simply be as perfect as possible on as small an area as possible, as big an idea expressed in as few elements as possible. As you can see, the logo is a unity of opposites. Creating a logo is therefore one of the most difficult jobs ever. Still, it is worth it and we believe that the players can help. We are not looking for someone who calls himself a graphic designer after editing the text “Drahy server” in Photoshop or even FanArt in word. We are looking for someone who will take care of his work, think through suggestions, combine these elements wittily or cleverly, use (do not have to use) the name of the server (dear/drahy and free, etc.). There are several options and players have a free hand in both size and graphics. As said, the logo should be universally usable, i.e. fit into any background and size (after both reduction and enlargement, it should be known what it is about). Since the third phase has not yet started, I believe that players can already provide their suggestions in this area again to podpora@drahy.com with an object expressing the type of assistance.
To date, they have also updated posts, which the players sent to the server and thus supported its further development, helped pay a regular several thousand monthly fees and thus allowed the server to grow further. Thank you to all who contributed. We appreciate that there are people who are interested in our server and respect for our work, which is definitely not easy at this time. Thank you. The next batch of fixes for the server is scheduled for this weekend, where I will have more time than just a few hours in one piece.
