Greetings to all true players! I am so sorry for such a long pause. Unfortunately, we did not agree with my friends and somehow it fell into oblivion and there were other (personal) worries. One of the former helpers has a new family, the other has ceased to have fun and on the server we left everything at last two and even the one is now for half a year abroad and I do not expect much help unfortunately. I'm so sorry, we all had big plans and it looked really hopeful and we all did a lot of work at the beginning. It's life. However, the server is still a matter of the heart for me and I still subsidize it, even though I am not working on it now. There was a promotion at work, many business trips etc. It all sort of calmed down, I finally have my own apartment and waiting for a permanent place for our server and mainly I'm starting to have a bit of free time again.
So since I was left alone again, the actions will be longer than originally planned, but with your help I am definitely not afraid of it. I planned to launch a new website and with it new systems to report bugs and communicate with you, but for now I will leave the old stuff before hibernation to have some way of communicating with you. I’ve been looking at active accounts at random, and over the past few months, players have logged in to more than 1,000 accounts. I’m glad the players come to see me sometimes. I also saw that they go on Wednesdays of the ICC, where the old known names like Krushak or Iks reign. First of all, I would like to thank you for your divine patience, but perhaps you understand the reasons and the fact that life is something other than free server management and that is why they decided to devote themselves to their families, work, etc. But it's different for me. For me, it is and always has been a respite. The fact that I can allow someone to have fun and fix something while doing it, dust off programming languages, is still important to me. My routines are finally changing and for the better and we can jump on it.
One of the things that happened to me today was that one of the SAS disks fell out. Fortunately, it runs on the server two with the same data in parallel, just for these cases. The server behaved according to the set rules, ended all services and quietly waited for my intervention, before trying to send to my disk, which no longer exists remotely current backup. It was impressive what I had put in there once and seeing it work in a situation that was more aimed at being paranoid than that it would ever really happen. I will start all services slowly tomorrow, and if I find all the backups, so will the promised old forum. The server may appear slower at first due to timeouts on the second non-functional disk. According to an analysis by Axes Computers, the disk pretends to have zero capacity, in other words, it is dead. Ordered is new and will come early next year, by then maybe someone will feel a problematic connection mainly when logging in, then it should be ok.
The server also drops for a longer period of time at the following time: 28.12.2017 12:00-20:00. Maybe even longer. The box will be moved to a new environment where it will remain. IP addresses and everything should remain. The server, among other things, connects to the backbone and very stable line, if so already. We’ll see how much time we have for all the news and events.
Thank you for your attention, and if you have read this far, so Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Maybe I’ll call you back between the holidays.
Update:
The server is online again after a few complications. I remind the full offline time including this site at the following time: 28.12.2017 12:00-20:00 clock
