Important information
Hello to all our loyal gamers. There is a lot of work and little free time, but I am doing as much as I can. I would like to explain the changes we are currently discussing and deciding on for the server. First of all, this is the last news article in Czech; subsequent articles will be in English only. Support will remain available in Czech for players who want it, and will now also be available in English. We are discussing the in-game chat. The World channel will probably become English-speaking, and if necessary we will also create an alternative Czech channel, at least initially. Although the channel is managed by players, we encourage people to join it after logging into the server. At least at first, we will therefore invite players to two channels, most likely “worldcz” and its counterpart. Nobody will be punished or have their hair pulled out for using Czech. However, to help other newcomers, including international players, we will promote and support English, and give priority to English reports in the new bug reporting system.

Self-sufficiency
The server is now largely self-sufficient, with minimal running costs. For that, I would once again like to thank PilsFree above all; this really would not be possible without them. Financially we are still making a loss, as always, but a much smaller one than before. This now gives you and the server a long future without the need for hibernation, financial difficulties or contributions. Some players have offered financial help, and I thank them, but introducing such a system is not a priority for now. I have also closed the contribution account. We may revisit this with the new website, to provide a way for you to help with running costs and electricity. Perhaps some unobtrusive advertising could also let the server cover all of its own costs.

New website
The website will change completely, with only the account management interface remaining for managing your accounts. The website is still in beta and will probably remain so for a while. Please be patient; I sometimes lose patience with the new website myself. However, four of us from ProjectCMS are working on it, and the results so far are excellent. The forum will close and move into an archive, and the new systems will take over its functions. For the next month, and probably until Christmas, we will address bugs reported on the current forum only to a limited extent, with issues in the player problems category receiving the highest priority. Other issues will receive limited attention while we prepare these larger changes. We also hope to have a new bugtracker that is better connected to the website and resolved issues, where we can hopefully link resolved reports automatically; this is still in progress. The new website also involves rebuilding the character restoration system. Restoring characters from backups with the new semi-automatic process has produced errors and turned out to be a dead end. I am therefore rebuilding the whole system so that we can handle dozens of requests a day without the enormous effort currently required, and without the fee that previously protected us from too many simultaneous requests and unnecessary requests that players never used. Feel free to send requests, but we will not process them until the final system is ready. You will be among the first once I have a working, trouble-free system.

Wintergrasp
Although I have deployed the Wintergrasp system, it is not stable. I managed to move all of its old functionality into the new core, but it remains unstable. I will therefore disable the system for now. It is nevertheless the second-highest priority. Trinity also appears to have started working on it, so we may be able to put our heads together and deploy a complete, working version with them. However, the code contains things they would definitely not accept, so we will have to see. I do not want to start the entire effort again with them, where even unnecessary details must follow exact rules, even if that means it cannot work for years until the required systems are finished. I will think about it some more. For now, I would rather address the crashes in the current system. There are many, but I have already fixed many of them.
